Can I turn it 270 degrees?

How to use Rotate

What it does

Turn a video 90 degrees to the right or left, or 180 degrees, and save it as a new file. You can use it to stand up a video that lies on its side. The video is processed on your device and is not uploaded.

Step by step

Drop a video file onto the page, or click to choose one.
Under “Direction”, choose “90° right”, “90° left” or “180°”. The default is “90° right”.
The video on the screen turns to show the result. Play it to check that the direction is right.
Click “Rotate”. When it finishes, use “Save” to download the file, or “Keep going” to pass it to another tool.

Good to know

What you see on the screen is a preview. Clicking “Rotate” turns the video itself.
With “90° right” or “90° left”, the width and the height swap. “180°” keeps the same size.
The result is always an MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio). It is re-encoded, so it is not exactly identical to the original, and it contains only the first video and the first audio track.
The first time, the video engine (about 32 MB) is downloaded. How long the job takes depends on the length of the video and on your device.
The file name is the original name followed by “-rotated”, for example trip-rotated.mp4.
You can choose only one direction at a time. To turn it further, open the saved file again and rotate it once more.
