How to use Change speed

What it does

Make audio faster or slower. Set the speed between 0.5x and 2x, and the length changes along with it. The file is processed on your device and is not uploaded.

Step by step

  1. Drop an audio file onto the page, or click to choose one.
  2. On the “Speed” tab, type a number into the “Speed” field or move the slider. You can also pick 0.5x, 0.75x, 1.25x, 1.5x or 2x with the buttons above it. The starting value is 1.25x.
  3. Play the file to hear it at the chosen speed. “Result length” shows how long the saved file will be.
  4. On the “Save” tab, choose WAV or MP3 under “Save format”. The default is WAV.
  5. Click “Change speed”. When it finishes, use “Save” to download the file.
